What is CI-128?
The language of the legislation is deliberately vague and misleading in order to allow for abortions without limits.
The language of “health care professional” is left undefined and vague to make sure abortions can be recommended or prescribed by people without the proper knowledge and medical training to make such recommendations. This will endanger the lives of women as untrained people recklessly prescribe abortions.
If CI-128 passes, it guarantees that taxpayer funded abortions will be a constitutional right.
This legislation makes it possible for a minor to obtain an abortion without parental consent, conversation, or care.
Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, and other likeminded organizations have poured in excess of 30 million dollars into Montana in order to change our constitution. The vast majority of funds in favor of CI-128 have come from outside of Montana.
Abortion in Montana is already protected by the Armstrong Ruling (Montana’s Roe Vs. Wade). Voting “no” ensures that men and women in Montana get to continue to have the debate about Abortion.

Within this small text lies the Christian understanding that all men and women have the same value, dignity, and worth. There are no people, genders, or groups of people that are more or less valuable, more or less worthy of dignity, or more or less worthy of respect. The Image of God is stamped on all humanity.
“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb… My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”
– Psalm 139v13, 15-16.
“Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb. “I am the Lord, who made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself,”

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

The Bible proclaims that life begins in the womb at conception as the God of the universe lovingly and carefully creates new life that will bear his image. From the moment of conception, God is seen sustaining, building, and being deeply connected to lives in the womb. God sees and sustains for even the smallest of his image bearers.

“There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,”
– Proverbs 6v16-17
The Bible is clear that taking an innocent life is murder. Christians who uphold Sciptural truth must come to the conclusion that abortion is murder.
Christians must oppose and restrain the evil of abortion in our society.
